June Elsie Hardy nee Spaeth, born April 15, 1929 - passed away peacefully September 25, 2023 at the age of 94 in Kelowna, BC. June was born in Saskatchewan to her late mother Elsie and eventually migrated to Edmonton in the 1950's. She worked for over 35 years at the Beverly Crest dining lounge until her retirement. Eventually she moved permanently to Kelowna, BC to be closer to family. June was predeceased by her former husbands’ George Ingham, Clarence Wurtz and Jim Hardy, son Wayne Ingham and his former wife Connie Ingham, son-in-law Rusty Rhoades and grandson Sean Rhoades. She is survived by her daughter Linda Rhoades, sons Gary Wurtz (Elaine) and Glen Ingham (Carol) along with adoring grandchildren April Ingham (Jeff), Heather Olson (Kevin), Lorne Ingham, Shelby Rhoades, Tracey Cameron and family, Nelson Ingham and family plus many great and great-great grandchildren. June was a lovely soul who had a passion for gardening, flowers, birds, butterflies and bees. She was a gracious and classy lady who loved fashion and country dancing! She was surrounded by love as she passed peacefully at Smith Creek Village surrounded by her loved ones in West Kelowna. The family wishes to acknowledge the incredible care and support that June had in her late years from the dedicated staff. A private family service will be held in the Spring of 2024.
