Gabe was born August 17, 1946 in Matsqui, B.C. As a child he was raised in Kipling, SK then moved back to B.C. as a young adult.
Gabe is known as a “Jack of All Trades”. He was a perfectionist, an extraordinary gardener, an excellent handyman, a talented carpenter and mechanic, an exceptional chef… and so much more!
He is remembered as: Kind, Wise, Compassionate, Responsible, A man of his word who honoured his commitments.
“The kingdom of God is one handyman stronger now!”
Gabe is predeceased by his parents, John & Helen Daku, and his sister Liz Driedger.
Gabe leaves behind his beloved wife and best friend, Linda, son, Rob, daughter, Shauna, son, Duane (Jolie), much loved grandchildren, Lindsay (Matthew), Candice (Derek), DJ, Caleb (Rae), Noah, Sequae, Quinn, Will and five great grandchildren, as well as five sisters and one brother.
“Gabe loved his wife,
He loved his family,
And he came to know the love of the Lord Jesus.”
As his family we spent decades praying for him to come to salvation and in his last month he spent every day praying for each and every one of us!
Gabe is deeply loved and sadly missed!
A private service of remembrance will be held at a later date.
