Ethel May Montgomery

Born August 10, 1914 on the family farm near Caroline Alberta, passed away with her family by her side on January 10, 2015. Survived by her sons Ken (Martha), Lethbridge, AB, Richard (Irene), Enderby, BC, daughter-in-law Heather Montgomery, Innisfail, AB and daughter Anne (Jerome) Geis, Winfield, BC, Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren Don, Corinna, Sara, Genai, Amanda, Savanna & Amberlise Montgomery, Three Hills, AB; Judy, Gord and Steven Hare, Gibbons, AB; Rob, Heather, Jennifer & Drew Montgomery, Enderby, BC; Carrie, Glen, Samantha & Christy Cullen, Kelowna, BC; Sheila Montgomery and Warren Logan, Calgary, AB; Doug, Cheryl, Isabella, Emily and Lucas Montgomery, Edmonton, AB; Stewart Geis, Winfield, BC; Melanie, Chad, Kaitlyn and Ethan Boutwell, Winfield, BC; and Christopher Geis, Winfield, BC. Predeceased by her husband Doug and son Ron.

Farmers in the Caroline AB area all of their lives Ethel & Doug moved to Winfield in 1968. Ethel always had a large garden and in later years she was active with line dancing and the painting group at the Winfield Senior Centre. She enjoyed travelling, skiing and family get togethers. Ethel had a wonderful time visiting with family and friends at her 100th birthday party in August. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She will be missed by all who loved her.

Memorial Services will be held on Monday January 19th, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. at the Winfield Senior Centre, 9832 Bottom Wood Lake Road.
