Entered eternal rest peacefully at home in Kelowna, British Columbia with her husband Eldon present. Elizabeth was the second child born to Peter and Annie (Karapita) Krywulak. She was born in the Beckenham District, 20 miles north of Ituna, Saskatchewan.
She was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Annie; parents-in-law, Steve and Annie Hnylycia; niece, Brenda Parnetta; brother-in-law, Ray Woynarski and nephew, Lloyd Heshka.
Elizabeth will be forever remembered by her husband, Eldon; sister, Natalie (Nick) Heshka; brother, Orest (Gloria) Krywulak; sister, Lorraine Woynarski; sister-in-law, Darlene (Bernie) Hrabok and sister-in-law, Lorraine Odowichuk and many nieces and nephews.
Elizabeth took pride in the insurance brokerage profession, the Ukrainian culture, the Ukrainian Catholic faith and her astounding dedication to the Ukrainian Catholic Women’s League of Canada at the Branch, Eparchial and National levels. She was very active with the parish, parish council and community of Kelowna in many capacities. Elizabeth’s organizational skills were phenomenal!
Thanks are sent to Dr. Chamberlain, the staff of Kelowna General Hospital Cancer Center, the Interior Health workers who came into the home to assist her and to the palliative care workers. And thank you to Father Joe Ostopowich for his special prayers.
As an alternative to flowers, it is kindly requested that donations be made to Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate (SSMI), 5 Austin Terrace, Toronto, Ontario, M5R 1Y1 in honor of Elizabeth’s memory.
Prayers will be recited on Monday, October 14th, 2024 at 6:00 PM from Dormition of the Mother of God Ukrainian Catholic Church , 1091 Coronation Avenue, Kelowna , followed by the Funeral Mass on Tuesday, October 15th, 2024 at 10:00 AM
