Payton graduated from Keller High School and was a member of the National Society of High School Scholars. He was an online gamer, loved to read, collector of records and loved animals and plants.
Survived by his father, Perry Pettigrew and mother, Sandra Pettigrew and step-father, Dwayne Letart; grandparents, Jose Delgado Sr., Gladys Delgado, Stanley Pettigrew and Patty Letart; sister, Nikolette Robertson and her husband, Shaun; beloved pets, Roscoe, Zak, Cutie, Fauna, Flora and Maryweather; aunts, Ana Delgado, Vicki Pettigrew Baxter and Debbie McDuffie; uncles, Jose Delgado Jr., William Mobley and Erroll Pettigrew; cousins, Landon Mobley, Tiffani Baxter, Roderick Passmore, Ray Pettigrew, Cherokee Pettigrew and Cheyenne Pettigrew. Preceded in death by grandmother, Elaine Pettigrew.
Payton did not let cancer define him, he beat cancer in the way he lived his life and forged everlasting friendships.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made Camp iHope, Sunshine Kids, Heroes for Hope, Orange Out or Heroes for Children.
Memorial Service will be held at 2 pm, November 25, 2019 at The Bowden - Chapel, 1775 Keller Parkway, Keller, Texas 76248. Reception to follow the memorial service.
