Pamela Ann Bacarella, 55, of Fort Worth, Texas, peacefully passed away on Monday, December 11, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Pam was born on November 12, 1968, to Mary and Bobby Strickland, in Tularosa, New Mexico. She graduated from Socorro (NM) High School in 1987, and earned a BS in Education from New Mexico State University in 1999. On August 7, 1999, Pam married Tom Bacarella, and moved to Glendale, Arizona. Pam began her career as a third-grade teacher in August 2000. Triplets, Michael, Matthew, and Megan were lovingly welcomed in January 2004. In 2006, the family moved to Fort Worth, Texas, where Pam continued her love of teaching at New Creation Preschool, from 2008 until 2022. In 2014, Pam began her battle with a rare form of lung cancer, inspiring others with her courage and unshakeable faith in her Savior, Jesus Christ.
A firm believer in Jesus Christ, Pam was an active member of Venture Church. She had a great love for life, family, and friends, and enjoyed traveling, movies, game nights, and spa days. She cared deeply about others and will be remembered for her smile, laughter, generosity, and humble spirit.
Pam is survived by her husband, Tom; children, Matthew and Megan; parents, Bobby and Mary Strickland of North Richland Hills, TX; brother, Robert (Tammy) Strickland, of Springdale, AR; and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Pam was preceded in death by her son, Michael Bacarella, and her brother, Michael Strickland, and several close family members. The family will receive friends at Keller's Old Town Funeral Home on Saturday, December 16, from 3-5 pm. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Venture Church in Keller, TX, at 2 pm, on Sunday, December 17. Pam will be interred next to her son, Michael, at Sunland Memorial Park, Sun City, AZ, on Tuesday, December 19. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Pam's name to Texas Scottish Rite Hospital, 2222 Welborn St., Dallas, TX 75219.
The family wishes to thank MD Anderson Cancer Center, Harbor Hospice Services, and many friends and relatives for their love, prayers, and support during this nine-year fight against cancer. While Pam will forever be missed, we take great comfort in the knowledge that Pam is now healed in the arms of Jesus.
