Maria Veles Vargas de Cuellar passed away on November 30th, 2024 in Watauga, Texas. She will always be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and friend to all that knew and loved her. She was born on January 26th, 1965 in Irapuato Guanajuato, Mexico to her parents Gabino Veles and Angela Vargas Ortiz. As a teenager Maria was a free spirit, wise, strong and a force to be reckoned with. Maria dedicated her life to all of her family, her mother, siblings, husband, children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Maria made sure everyone in her family/friends felt supported and loved. Maria loved her family beyond measure and her actions were proof of that. Maria’s life was not always easy, but she always persevered and kept moving forward. Maria was a teacher and a guide to all of her children, nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Maria was the life of the party. She loved to dance and had spectacular music taste. Maria made and was part of many great memories that her family will always cherish and hold tight to their chest. Maria is and will always be one of the main pillars of her family and that is her legacy. Maria will be missed immensely, and her absence will be felt by everyone that loved her and had the privilege to know her. Maria is survived by her husband Abel Cuellar, sisters Juana Veles Vargas and Irma Veles Vargas, brothers Armando Veles Vargas and Gabino Veles Vargas. Maria is survived by her son Junior Acosta and daughters; Neidine Gonzalez, April Valenzuela, Elisabeth Cuellar and Ashley Cuellar. Maria is survived by her grandson’s; Aidan, Devin, Ricky, Rico, Justin and Zeke. Maria is survived by granddaughter’s;Bonnie, Yolihuani, Cattaleya, Genesis and Melanie. Maria leaves behind many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews that she loved and protected as her own. She was preceded in death by her daughter Jainey Laguna Velez and her Mother Angela Vargas Ortiz. The short visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on December 6th, 2024, at Keller's Old Town funeral home. The Funeral Service will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery & Mausoleum Archdiocese of Los Angeles
