On December 1, 2023, Esther Ann Smith got her wings and joined her husband, Bob, son, Lewis Welch, father, Al Pacchino, and sister, Rosemary Pacchino in heaven. She was 75 years old. A native New Yorker, Esther found her way to Texas at the age 19, where she stayed for over 40 years. Esther moved to Georgia in 2008, but returned to Texas in 2022, following Bob's death. Esther was the matriarch of the family, leading with love, strength, understanding, and grace. Esther is survived by her mother, Dorothy; brother, Carmine; daughters, Janet and Lorrie; grandchildren, Zane, Savannah, and Jacob; great-grandson Lewis.
Blessings and prayers for Esther will be held Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Keller's Old Town Funeral Home. It will be followed by a funeral repass.
