He was born March 23, 1935 in Madbury, NH, the son of Alphonse and Rose *Nolette) Lesmerises. On June 11, 1955 he married the love of his life: Alice Varney, and two shared many years together, building a home and family together.
For many years Roger worked as a Milk man, delivering milk for various Dairies around Keene, including Shaw Dairy, Thomas Dairy and Idle Not Dairy. He was fondly known around his route in his delivery truck, which he fondly called “Colonel Klink”. After retiring he enjoyed being at home: working puzzles and watching Dr. Who. Storytelling was something that he had a passion for: he loved to make people smile. Above all, he enjoyed being “Grampy” and “GG” to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. When his grandchildren were younger he and his wife would have them stay with them: each day was a new adventure and they made many memories together. He was always supportive of them in their sporting events and activities.
He is survived by his son: Roger A. Lesmerises, Jr and his wife Debra of Keene, three daughters: Marie Young and her husband Michael of Swanzey, Theresa Forcier and her husband David of Swanzey and Pamela Melvin and her husband Donald of Keene, five grandchildren: Brandon and Ryan Lesmerises, Timothy Young, Nicole Forcier and Jacqueline Turner, three great-grandchildren: Kamron, Charlotte and Savannah and several nieces, nephews and extended family members. He was the last of five children to pass away.
