He was born in Keene, NH on March 2, 1953, the son of Robert and Margie (Connelly) Sullivan. He grew up in Keene and was a 1971 graduate of Keene High School.
He attended Keene State College where he received an associate degree in Social Studies.
Mr. Sullivan worked for 38 years as a postal clerk with the United States Postal Service, first in Keene and then in Manchester, NH. He later worked with Nissan of Keene and most recently with the Fenton Family Dealerships in Swanzey, NH
A resident of Marlborough for the past 30 years, Michael was an accomplished woodworker, building his own home. He was also a licensed massage therapist. He was well known in the Greater Keene Women’s Softball community as his wife Kathie’s “number one fan”.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Kathie J. (Lawson) Sullivan of Marlborough; sons, David A. Whitney of Marlborough and Sean M. Sullivan of Keene; four grandchildren, Kyah Whitney, Isaiah Whitney, Zakariya Whitney, Liam Sullivan; a niece, and several cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, and a brother, George Sullivan in 1996.
A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, February 13, 2016, from 1:00 to 4:00PM in the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene, with a prayer service at 3:30PM offered by Rev. Leaf Seligman.
