Her parents, Edmond and Mary E. (Fordham) Fleury, welcomed their daughter into the world on January 20, 1942, in Boston, MA. Her family moved from Winchester, NH to Keene, NH in 1956 where she attended local schools and was a 1959 graduate of Keene High School.
Maureen’s work career centered on helping others by way of early on as a waitress, later driving a school bus for the City of Keene, and her favorite service to others, that of a notary public since 1990. She especially enjoyed the opportunities to perform weddings, and a short time ago, officiated at the wedding of her grandson, this being her final time doing this, but what a poignant opportunity.
Maureen was a member of the Red Hat Society, the American Association of Notary Public, the National Notary, and the Signing Registry.
She was an avid Celtics and Patriots fan.
Maureen is survived by her two sons, Mark D. Robinson and his life partner, Staci Willbarger, of Marlborough, Timothy P. Robinson and his wife, Felicia Desimini, of Palmer, Alaska; her grandchildren, Justin Robinson and his wife, Erika, Molly Robinson; her great-grandchildren, Brody, Ivy, Davian and Nevaeh; a brother, Michael A. Fleury of Roswell, GA; her sisters, Sheila Antonucci of Columbia, SC, Mary Helen Day of Florida, Patricia Ayala of Santa Fe, NM; and many nieces, nephews and extended family. She was predeceased by her husband of 39 years, David C. Robinson in 1998, and a grandson, Kyle Robinson.
Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday afternoon, November 3rd, from 2:00 to 4:00pm at the Fletcher Funeral Home, 33 Marlboro Street, Keene. Burial in the St. Joseph Cemetery, Keene, will be held at a later date.
For those who wish, donations may be made in Mrs. Robinson’s memory to the COPD Foundation, 3300 Ponce de Leon Blvd, Miami, FL 33134.
