Born to Joseph Martin Descoteaux Sr. and Laurette Gertrude (Jacob) Descoteaux, Marty was a vibrant and gregarious figure known for his infectious laughter and zest for life. He attended Saint Joseph School in Keene, graduated from Keene High School (where he proudly played football), and earned a degree from New Hampshire Technical Institute.
Marty embarked on a successful career in Information Technology, initially working for the State of New Hampshire and Markem Corporation. He left Keene to explore the world, working in both the defense industry and private consulting. After building a successful career, he returned home during the pandemic to care for his beloved mother. In his final decade, he was a valued employee at Peraton Enterprise Solutions, where he continued to contribute his expertise until his passing.
Throughout his life, Marty was a passionate sports fan, cheering on the Red Sox, Celtics, and especially the New England Patriots. He enjoyed living the high life and was the life of the party, always ready with a joke or a story. His love for excitement and enjoyment was infectious, making every gathering memorable.
Marty is survived by his beloved brother, Timothy H. Descoteaux, along with numerous friends, aunts, uncles, cousins, colleagues, and the many people he generously helped throughout his life, who will deeply miss his presence.
A graveside service will be held at 11:15 AM on Thursday, November 21st, at St. Joseph Cemetery, Lower Main Street in Keene. Those wishing to honor Marty and commemorate his life are invited to attend the service.
