Her parents, Millard and Lillian (Cameron) Edwards, welcomed their daughter into the world on February 18, 1933, in Peterborough, NH. She grew up in Antrim, NH and was a graduate of Antrim High School.
As a child growing up on the family farm in Antrim, Anna helped with the chores, as she always loved animals.
Mrs. Hackler took great pride in caring for her home and raising her family. She also enjoyed her role as a school crossing guard for many years here with the City of Keene.
Anna was always welcoming others into her home, ensuring they enjoyed her great cooking, especially her pies of which, she won many blue ribbons for at the Cheshire Fair over the years. She instilled the secrets of her pie baking to her granddaughters. She also enjoyed gardening, knitting and reading.
She will be greatly missed by many, especially her husband of 65 years, David G. Hackler of Keene; her three sons, David Hackler, Jr. and his wife, Lynn, of Clifton Park, NY, Donald Hackler and his wife, Rindy, of Keene, Daniel Hackler and his wife, Denelle, of Fitzwilliam, NH; two granddaughters, Abbygail Hackler of Marlborough, NH, Grace Boncal and her husband, Andrew, of Tolleson, AZ; two great-grandchildren, Dominic Boncal and Avery Boncal; her brothers, Millard Edwards and his wife, Anita, of Surry, NH, Lee Edwards and his wife, Dolly, of Wolfeboro, NH; her sisters-in-law, Marilee Rouillard and her husband, David, of Keene, Kay Lake and her husband, Bruce, of Murals Inlet, SC; and several nieces, nephews and extended family members including Rick and Laurie Denico.
Services and burial in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Marlborough, NH, will be held privately by the family.
