Nathan Bailey Bartlett

Nathan was born a natural fighter, while his medical conditions should have held him back that is certainly not the case with him. He fought for his life every single day and was allowed the gift of life far beyond the years he was given by doctors. Nathan was an overcomer of many things, one of them being his independence, he was determined to get things done and on his own. He loved being an uncle, great friend and loved all the babies he could get his hands on. While he loved so many, it is safe to say that he was loved by so many more. He had an energy that with just one encounter with him, you would remember him for life. Most say he was the light of the room and had that smile that nobody could ever possibly forget. Nathan spent his entire school career in Kaufman, Texas beginning at Sonshine School and followed by kindergarten through graduation at Kaufman High School. While attending Kaufman High School he was a member of the marching band and played percussion. Nathan also attended church at First United Methodist in his early childhood and then at Kaufman Church of Christ in his later years. Nathan was also very much one who loved to play video games and could play for hours on end. He also loved to make people laugh, sometimes it was with his silly dance moves.

Those who knew him best all gave him a special nickname to go by some of these are Nathan, Nate Dog, Nateman, Nafers, Nate Nate, Reator12, Nate Diggity, Uncle Nathan, Unkie Nathan, Brother, Son, and Friend. I would say that most importantly, Nathan had a deep love for his family, and cherished the time they would all spend together more than anything else.

Nathan is preceded in death by his sister Jada and grandfather Fred Absher.

Those left with cherished memories are his parents, Lee and Judy Bartlett; step-mother Angela Bartlett, his siblings: Bethany, Matthew, Greg, Emily, Leah, Noah, Brandon and Rylee; his in love siblings: Lisa, Jason, Dee, Kristen, Dakota, Keith, Alexis, Alan, Brent and Robert; 68 foster brothers and sisters; nieces and nephews: Ayesa, Katlyn, Jacob, Hope, Carson, Tyler, Kara, Layla, Kaydin, Tres, Aubrey, Lexi, Kloe, Reagan and Asher; grandmother Mary Lee Absher; Mike Pizana along with a host of other beloved family and friends who will miss him dearly.

A visitation for Nathan will be held Monday, May 10, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Anderson Clayton Funeral Home. A celebration of life will occur Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Kaufman Church of Christ, 27 Oak Creek Dr., Kaufman, Texas 75142 followed by a graveside service at Wilson Chapel Cemetery, Kaufman, Texas.

Serving as pallbearers are Jacob Daniels, Alan Thomas, Jason Jones, Cole Raymond, Jason Chambers and Brent Daniels.
