Priscilla A Mitchell

On March 8, 2023 Priscilla Ann Mitchell, 82, died in Katy, TX. Priscilla is survived by her children, Beth and David, grandchildren, Will (Krystal) and Caroline, brother, Don Chapman (Jane) and nieces and nephews, Lea Anne Mitchell, James Mitchell, Christopher Chapman and Kathryn Chapman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Mitchell and her parents, Roy and Mary Marsalette Chapman.

Priscilla was born on July 22, 1940, in Dallas, TX. She graduated from South Oak Cliff High School and went on to North Texas State University where she graduated in 1961 with a degree in education.

Priscilla married Jim in 1961. They met one summer at Dallas Power & Light where Jim was an engineer and Priscilla was the cute elevator operator. They welcomed Beth in 1962 and David in 1967. Priscilla started teaching at The Briarwood School in 1981 and retired in 2015 as the Director of Admissions. She loved being creative through painting, quilting and sewing, but most of all she loved being a mother and grandmother. She left her family with wonderful memories to cherish forever.

As per Priscilla’s request, the funeral will be a private ceremony with only close family members present.
