Joseph Miley Kinsey Jr. son of the late Joseph Miley and Nelle Dent Kinsey was born in Columbia, SC. May 13, 1943. He was the second of three children, and was proceeded in death by his beloved sister Linda Kinsey Sessions and her husband Raymond Sessions as well as his brother Bill Kinsey. He is survived by three daughters; Laurie Kinsey Mitchell, husband Thomas Mitchell, son Jake, Kimberly Kinsey Ray, husband Douglas Ray, sons Tanner and Ryder and Stephanie Kinsey Ehlen, husband Tim Ehlen and their children Kacey, John and Addison. He was also loved by his nieces and nephews.
He completed his education with a B.S. from the University of South Carolina in 1967. He joined E.I. DuPont de Nemours, Inc. 1967 in Medical X-Ray Film Sales, Assignments included Tulsa, Oklahoma, Houston, TX, El Paso, TX, Little Rock, AR, and Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Upon retirement from Du Pont, Joe was associated with Cummings X-Ray, Little Rock, AR, Merry X-Ray Tulsa, OK and Ozark Imaging Fayetteville, AR.
Joe enjoyed playing golf, South Carolina Football, NASCAR racing, talking politics and spending time with his family.
Graveside Services to be held at a later date, burial will be in the Dent Family Cemetery, Columbia, SC.
In lieu of flowers a contribution to Shriner’s Hospital or American Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
