John Kent Stevenson Jr.

Kent was born July 19, 1956 in Brownsville, Texas to John and Joy Stevenson Sr. He spent his childhood in Brownsville, Texas and graduated from Brownsville High School. Kent later attended Southwest Texas State University with a degree in Business Management. While in school, he met his loving wife Kathy and they were married for over 37 years. One of Kent's greatest accomplishments was completing the MS-150. He enjoyed working on projects at home, fishing, golfing, and spending time with family and friends. As a child he enjoyed surfing, playing basketball, and chess.

Kent was preceded in death by his father, John Kent Stevenson Sr.

Kent leaves behind his wife, Kathy Stevenson; sons, Michael Stevenson, Kyle Stevenson; mother, Joy Stevenson; brother, David Stevenson and wife Rosie; brothers-in-law, Jon Moser and wife Ann, Don Moser and wife Peggy; sister-in-law, Lori Williams and husband Jeff; mother-in-law, Dorothy Moser; grandsons, Chad and Trevor, and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Kent was a wonderful son, husband, father, 'Pops,' and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service for Kent will be held Sunday, January 28, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Katy Funeral Home, 23350 Kingsland Blvd, Katy, TX 77450.
