Helen Weaver was born September 14, 1941 in Elkhart, Texas, to Mary “Mae” Caroline Patterson Kersh and James Bostick. She was a service coordinator for Aramark, for 26 years and a member of the Memorial Lutheran Church, in Houston, Texas. She loved caring for flowers and plants and her beloved dog, Bear. Helen loved communicating through Facebook with all her friends and family.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Mary “Mae” Caroline Patterson Kersh and James Bostick; stepmother, Mabel Beatrice ; stepfather, Benjamin Edward Kersh; son, David Lynn Weaver; and sisters, Carolyn Jean Kersh and Mary Jane Bostick Hobbs.
Helen is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, James Weaver, of Katy, Texas; daughter, Melody McGuire and husband, Jim, of Katy, Texas; sisters, Kathy Nicholson and husband, Calvin; and Debbie Barber and husband, Emery; half brothers, Jimmy Bostick and wife, Nancy; and Ronnie Bostick and wife, Jana; stepbrothers, Mike Haynes and wife, Lequida (deceased); and Thomas Haynes and wife, Lajuaina; daughter-in-law, Mildred Weaver; grandchildren, Justin Weaver and wife, Paige; Sarah Iraggi and husband, Kevin; and Drake Finley; great-grandchildren: Julia Weaver, Nickelas Weaver, Kara Iraggi and Mary Iraggi.
The Weaver family would like to give special thanks to Mason Creek Transitional Care of Katy and Vantage Hospice, who took great care of Helen in her final days of life.
Visitation will be Friday, June 24, 2022, from 4:00-8:00PM at Katy Funeral Home, 23350 Kingsland Boulevard, Katy, Texas 77494.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, June 25, 2022, at 2:00PM, in the Rio Grande Chapel of Katy Funeral Home.
Interment will follow at Forest Park Southwest Cemetery, 9040 FM 359, Richmond, Texas.
