Betty Warden Davidson peacefully passed away from her earthly life on September 9, 2015 at the age of 89. As we celebrate her abundant life, we will always remember her deep Christian faith and love for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We will also remember how much she loved her family, who adored her deeply, her love for her many friends and how passionate she was about sports, particularly her LSU Tigers. She lived a rich life always keeping a positive attitude about everything, and was a unique and special person who always brought out smiles and laughter to those around her.
Betty was born June 21, 1926 in Memphis, Tennessee to Leonard and Mary Warden who predeceased her. She was also preceded in death by her brother Leonard Warden, Jr. of West Memphis, Arkansas and her sister Mary Jane Warden Carter of El Dorado, Arkansas. Betty graduated from Central High School in Memphis, TN in May, 1944. She graduated from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1948 with a B.S. degree in Education. At LSU, she was a member of Chi Omega sorority and Delta Gamma Delta Inner Sorority. Mrs. Davidson taught at Byrd High School in Shreveport, LA and El Dorado High School in El Dorado, AR. She lived in Shreveport, LA for 55 years and was an active member of Broadmoor Presbyterian Church until she moved to Richardson, TX and then to Katy, TX, each move to be near a daughter and her family. She was a member of several Bible Studies throughout her life and lived her life based upon the words written in the Bible, her favorite book.
Betty is survived by her daughters Marianne Davidson Baracato of San Antonio, TX and Susan Elizabeth Davidson Roby and her husband William (Bill) Barnett Roby of Katy, TX; her seven grandchildren, John Roby and his wife Paige, Travis Roby and his wife Angie, Logan Roby, Laura Roby, Ben Baracato, Jeff Baracato, and Phillip Baracato; and her four great grandchildren, Walker Roby, Kendall Roby, Hudson Roby, and Emma Roby; her stepdaughter Nancy Logsdon and family and her beloved nieces and nephews.
Following a celebration of her life in Katy for her immediate family, she will be laid to rest at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, AR. with her loving Warden family members who predeceased her.
