William Paul Bradley (age 88), also known as Billy Paul to his relatives, peacefully transitioned and crossed the great divide on November 25th. in Parkville, Missouri. Surrounded with love, smooth jazz playing in the background, he was in the presence of his daughter, her partner Brad Bauer and his good friend, Ragnar the Maine Coon cat.
Bill cherished life. His presence was uplifting to everyone he was around. At an early age and throughout his life, he amassed a wealth of skills…serving in the US Air Force before he was old enough to join the meat cutter’s union, to being a Golden Gloves Boxer, an avid golfer, to playing Minor League Baseball; not to mention taking over the dance floor in a saloon or two.
He was a jokester who loved his volunteer time at Shawnee Mission Hospital, coaching 3&2 baseball, jazz, history, motorcycles, not to forget Luna the 100lb Golden Doodle, the beach, women, and travels on the road…but of all the places, San Francisco had his heart.
Born on March 3, 1936, in St. Joseph, Missouri. Bill was preceded in death by his mother Cecilia “Cleo” Goslin Bradley, of Native American Decent and of the Kickapoo Tribe, by his father Paul Bradley, his brother Rocky and sister Shirley Beth, his son William “Billy” Bradley and daughter Cindy McWilliams. Bill leaves behind his sister Arline, brothers Russell & Bob Bradley, daughters Vicki Brubaker, Cheryl Cartwright, and Krystal Pierce; his grandchildren Ryan McWilliams & Crystal Dizney, Kody & Kameron Konald, Danielle & Dusty Brubaker, Nick Wilcox (Desiree), Luice Cartwright (aka Michael), Brayden, Easton & Landon Pierce, as well as his caretakers Elaine & SaQuisha.
Bill will be missed by many as he touched many hearts.
