Pat O’Connor, of Kansas City, Missouri, born on January 23, 1937 passed away at the age of 81 at his home on July 7, 2018. He is preceded in death by his parents, Marian Pelley (Bob) and Charles O’Connor (Dorothy).
Pat is a 1955 Paseo High School graduate and attended Baker University before joining the United States Marine Corps. After serving in the Marine Corps, Pat joined Greybar Electric before starting his own manufacturing rep business, Pat O’Connor & Associates, until he retired in 2008.
Pat was the loving husband of Roberta (Gordanier) O’Connor for more than 57 years. He is survived by his wife, Roberta; two daughters Kelly O’Connor White of Forsyth, Illinois and Lesley O’Connor Reller of Kansas City, Missouri, and son-in-laws Craig White and Patrick Reller; two brothers Christopher B. Pelley (Kathleen) of Greenwood Village, Colorado and Robert G. Pelley (Connie) of Columbia, Missouri; and he was most proud of his six grandchildren, each of whom thought they were Grandpa’s favorite: Alexandra Marie White, Connor Patrick White, Sydney Catherine White, Kennedy O’Connor Reller, Cameron Patrick Reller, and Quinn Patrick Reller. He also leaves behind their dog Bentley, for whom he cared for deeply. Pat will be welcomed by his departed friends Bob Butler, Duke Barnes, Don Miller, Conrad Hitcher, Ken Lambert and others that we have failed to mention.
Pat was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all who knew him.
A visitation will be held at Floral Hills Funeral Home 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd., Kansas City, MO on Wed., July 11 from 5:00-8:00 PM-and a mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Peter’s Parish 815 Meyer Boulevard Kansas City, Missouri at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 12, 2018 with Military Honors to follow at Floral Hills Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in Pat's name to Semper Fi fund and or St. Peter’s Catholic Church.
