My condolences to Katherine and family. I am so sorry to hear of Walter's passing. We were newly discovered distant cousins from the McNamara line of County Clare, Ireland. I wish we would have had the chance to get to know one another. As I look through the photos on this site, I see a definite family resemblence. I'm sure my Grandma Alice Mack Turner and my mother, Bev Klamm, welcomed Walter to heaven and they are all catching up on family stories.

I had the pleasure of taking care of Mr. White and his family.  My thoughts and prayers are with you at this most difficult time.  Walter and his family touched our lives at NKCH.  "Into your arms, I commend thy spirit."  Walter may now have the peace and comfort in Heaven with our Lord that he so much deserved.  I am so sorry for your loss.  The love of the Whites for one another was very evident.

It was a pleasure to care for your husband and also to get to know you and your family.  I think I speak for all of the caregivers when I say we are sorry for your loss.  I hope the good memories will sustain you in this time of sorrow!  My prayers are with you.

Katharine, Walter was special to me and I knew him since freshman year at Redemptorist.  We had great times throwing newspapers at 4 a.m. in the Northeast area.  We enjoyed the visit you made to our retirement place and the visit we made to your home in Liberty.  I will always remember what a good friend he was!!!  Love to you and the family, J.D. Taylor

I'm so sorry to hear about Walt. He was my first Sgt. at A B S when I came out of the academy. I drove him nuts with 3 traffic accidents my first year.  He never let me forget it. There was never a nicer guy.  I know he's in a better place.

I worked for Walter at A.B.S early in my career. After retirement I would see him on occasion at various places. Always a smile, and a hello. He will be missed

I was sorry to hear about Walter's death. He was always a nice guy, a cop's cop. My brother Steve Niebur and him were good buddies and I dispatched to him in the "old days". May he rest in peace.  Susan (Niebur/Reid) McCrea
