Sharon Kay Lippitt (Antle), age 80, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2022. Sharon was born April 7, 1942 in Bethany, MO. She was the tenth of eleven children of Laverne and Eva Antle.
Sharon attended Junior High in Stewartsville, MO and graduated from King City High School in 1960. Upon graduation she moved to Kansas City and was a telephone long distance operator. While working at Southwestern Bell she met her husband, Dean Lippitt. They had one son, Curt. Over the years Sharon enjoyed watching her son play basketball and baseball.
Sharon hosted many family Christmas and Thanksgiving dinners at her home in Raytown, MO. She was happiest with a house full of extended family. Sharon had many hobbies including bingo, home decor, cooking and baking, poker, collecting dolls and bowling. She even appeared on Len Dawson's Bowling for Dollars. Sharon loved watching the Kansas City Royals and Chiefs on television. She loved baking cakes and sharing them with neighbors.
Most recently she moved to an apartment for seniors in the northland. She made fast friends with the other residents with whom she enjoyed watching movies, visiting in the common area and playing poker nightly.
Two of her favorite residents were her four legged friends, Atticus and Summer. Sharon had a cat named Nubbie.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Lavern and Eva Antle, her husband, Dean Lippitt, sisters, Jenalda Carmichael, Jeneal Groom, Alma Carmichael, Melba Hart, Beverly Jenkins, Carolyn Hewitt, Connie Snapp and brother, Jerry Antle.
Survivors include her son, Curt Lippitt, brothers, Robert (Barbara) Antle and Richard (Charlotte) Antle, along with many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the Cardio Vascular ICU Unit at North Kansas City Hospital for her care.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the family to assist with final expenses.
