Sandra Cross

Sandra Cross passed away peacefully at her home in Overland Park, KS on July 24, 2023. She was born on February 1, 1938 to Merle and Ida Mae Morris in Marlin, TX and raised in Humboldt, KS. She attended Pittsburg State University where she met her husband, Norman. After many years staying home with her daughters she entered the work force with the USDA working her way up from claims assistant to examiner. Her favorite job was being a mom, grandma and great-grandma. She, Norman, and the girls traveled extensity throughout the United States and was she able visit all 50 of them. She enjoyed the yearly vacations, including shopping, sightseeing and amusement parks. Sandy was an excellent card player and also excelled in Mahjong, playing with her neighbors weekly.

Sandy is preceded in death by Norman, her loving husband of 63 years, twin sister Shara Horne and older sister Dorothy Albin. She is survived by daughters Terri Cross, Connie (David) Bryant, and Pamela (Jon) Pattin. Sandra is most proud of her seven grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, Tony Schimke, Heather Schimke, David (Cheyanne Martin) Bryant IV, Forrest Wilms, Theresa (Jordan) Corsaut, Carly Pattin, Grady Pattin, Landon Bazan and Verona Corsaut.
