SaJohnna "Nikki" Mobley

SaJohnna “Nikki” Ni’Cole (Rounds) Mobley, 46, beloved wife, mother, and friend, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 16th with a visitation from 1-3 pm and services at 3 pm at Newcomer’s Floral Hills Funeral Home.

Nikki was born on October 18, 1977 to Mike and Mary Rounds and was a lifelong resident of Independence, Missouri. She graduated from William Chrisman High School in 1996. There, she met Derek House, with whom she had two children, Meadow in 2002 and Shia in 2004.

After the unfortunate passing of Derek in 2005, Nikki found Shane Mobley. Shane immediately fell in love with Nikki and her two daughters. Nikki and Shane got married on October 10th, 2009, and loved and supported each other until the very end.

Nikki loved customer service and worked a few jobs after graduating from high school. She worked at Personal Marketing from 1999-2007, Short Circuit Electronics from 2007-2020, and worked at GEHA from 2020 until her passing. Nikki loved working with people and helping them and she showed that in her job every day.

Nikki was the most positive person anyone had ever met. She had never seen a bad movie, would laugh at every joke, and loved every person she met deeply. Nikki touched so many lives in the short years that she was here, her impact reaching more than one could count. Nikki was greeted in Heaven by her late husband Derek House; mother Mary Rounds; maternal grandpa Carl Ballou; and paternal grandparents Alice and Ernie Rounds. Nikki is survived by her husband Shane; daughters Meadow and Shia; father Mike Rounds; brother Michael Rounds, his wife Beth, and their daughter Lennon; her grandma Betty Ballou; and countless other loving family members.
