Ross Glen Thompson, age 97 1/2, of Henderson, NV, passed away on November 18, 2017. Visitation at 10AM on Thur., Nov. 30, at First Baptist Church, 100 W Red Bridge Rd, KCMO 64114. Celebration service with Masonic service to follow at 11AM. Burial with military honors at 1:45PM at Memorial Park Cemetery, 8251 Hillcrest Rd, KCMO. Glen was born March 7, 1920 in Jamesport, MO. He was a loving & caring husband & father. During World War II, Glen served in Pearl Harbor as assistant to Four-Star General Clark L. Ruffner. Glen and his wife, Marjorie, were devoted to the First Baptist Church in KC and instrumental in annexing the church on Red Bridge Road. He was a lifetime member of the Jamesport Masonic Lodge. He was also a member of the Scottist Rite, Ararat Shrine, and the Eastern Star. For 27 years, Glen was a member of the Red Bridge Lions Club. Glen was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Laviece Thompson. He is survived by his sister Helen Ellis who is 100 years old today, daughters Glenda Thompson Bona and Gayle Bradshaw, 4 grandchildren, and 3 great grandsons.
