He moved to Kansas City after high school graduation and built a life in Raymore, Missouri. He retired from Farmers Insurance, the United States Army National Guard, the Kansas City Police Dept., as well as the Cass County Sheriff's Dept. Ron was an active member and Deacon in the First Baptist Church of Raymore.
Ron met Carol Ann Sylvester in Kansas City through a close friend and future brother-in-law Steve Baker Sr. They were married January 12, 1963. They had one son R. Eric Wierman.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Mary Wierman, his wife Carol Ann, his brothers-in-law Melvin Sylvester, Tony Sylvester, Marcus Sylvester, Rocky Mills, his niece Brenda Sue Baker, nephew's Steve (Skip) Baker Jr. and Jay Sylvester.
Ron is survived by his wife Delores Collins, son Eric and Marla Wierman and two grandchildren, Isabella and Katelyn. His brother Lavern and Carlene Wierman, sister Donna Mills, sisters-in-law Melva and Steve (Sylvester) Baker, Sylvia and Henry (Sylvester) Wurzer, Nita (Sylvester) Jones, brother-in-law Robert and Angie Sylvester. He's also survived by four nieces, two nephews, six great-nieces, ten great-nephews, four great-great-nieces and four great-great-nephews.
Ron married Delores on April 29th, 2012 and with this union was blessed with additional members to his large and loving family. Her son Dennis and Kim Collins, daughter Lorie and Richard Easton, as well as four more grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
He will be missed greatly every day.
The family would especially like to thank the staff of St. Croix Hospice in Harrisonville, Missouri for their loving and attentive treatment.
