Bob is survived by his Dad and Step-mother Robert and Sarah Schlichter, his eldest son Branden and Amanda Stevenson, his youngest son Bret and Kelsey Stevenson, his five grandchildren Elizabeth, Zachary, Brynn, Evyn and Nellie, two sisters Dee and Vicky, a brother Dean and numerous friends and Family.
Bob was born in Kansas City October 31, 1961 and grew up in Gracemore. He graduated from Winnetonka high school in 1980. He was then in the air force as military police and lived in Texas from 1983 until 1986. He worked at Ford Motor Company as a lineman in the truck section, the Moberly Corrections Center as a guard and most recently at Harrahs Kansas City as a security officer.
Bob was many things to a lot of people but being a father and grandfather meant the world to him. He was an avid Chiefs fan, avid NASCAR fan and anything racing. He had a very stoic demeanor later on in life but he was a friend to all. He loved music, he always had a song to share. Cooking for people was one of his favorite things to do whether it be his second place Chili, homemade French fries, cheeseburgers or his vichyssoise. Bob will be missed by his friends and family and everyone he met.
Memorial services will be held at McGilley Antioch Chapel Saturday October 19th. Visitation starts at 11am and service will start at noon. Immediately following the service there will be a small luncheon for immediate friends and family.
