Richard Warren Webb born August 14, 1955 to Warren and Jean Webb in Kansas City, Missouri passed away Friday, April 19th at North Kansas City Hospital after a sudden heart attack the afternoon before. He was a family man who loved the Lord. He attended Oak Park High School where he displayed his acting talent in drama. He learned to play the guitar at a young age and joined a bluegrass band as an adult.
Rick enjoyed woodworking and made several gifts throughout his life. He was most proud of the waterwheel he made for his mother, the chess set he made for his brother and the blanket chest he made for his wife. He enjoyed fishing, baseball, and scouts with his sons. Rick was an avid bowler and bowled a perfect 300 game earing a 300 ring. He also enjoyed coaching the youth bowlers, especially his sons.
Rick is preceded in death by his parents Warren G and Norma "Jean" Webb; brother Andy Calvin; sisters Nancy Sue Devore and Connie Arinze. He is survived by his wife Mary of 47 years; sons David, Brandon (wife Kristyn), and Keenan; brother David (wife Laura, son Warren); and sister-in-law Rachel Calvin; nieces Tammy, Tina, Taylor, Tashee, Deedra, and Nicki; and nephew Clayton. He was so proud of his 9 grandchildren Silas, Maeve, Everett, Linus, Erin, Laine, Minnette "Kabi", Evelyn, and Cecelia. He just lit up when they called his name.
Services will be at McGilley Antioch Chapel, 3325 NE Vivion Rd. Kansas City, MO 64119. Visitation on Wednesday evening, April 24 from 5 to 7 pm; a Celebration of Life Service on Thursday, April 25 at 10 am. Friends and Family are invited to meet at Grace Baptist Church for lunch following burial.
