Ray P. (Sam) Christy, 90, Kansas City, MO passed away peacefully 12 February 2017 at Carondelet Manor. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday 1 March 2017, at Church of the Resurrection, 13720 Roe Ave at the Wesley Covenant Chapel. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM in Mt. Moriah Cemetery, 10507 Holmes, Garden Walk of Memories.
Mr. Christy is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ruth L. Christy, son Ray A. Christy (wife Judith), and daughter Diane M. Browning (husband Robert).
A United States Navy Veteran, an Ironworker for 42 years before enjoying retirement, a providing and faithful husband and father, a quiet, unassuming and pragmatic friend to all who met and knew him, he will be greatly missed on this side of Heaven.
