Pat was born on November 15, 1941 to Viola (Steffens) Krause and Aurelius (Ray) N. Krause. Pat was born at home in Blackburn, Missouri and baptized at Zion Lutheran in Blackburn.
When Pat was 7, the family moved to Higginsville, Missouri, where she attended Immanuel Lutheran School. She was also confirmed at Immanuel. She started high school in Higginsville, but did not finish. We moved to Independence when Pat was 17 and, as a family, joined Messiah Lutheran Church. Pat loved singing and was part of the church choir. She continued to sing throughout her life. She participated in karaoke at her apartment complex.
Pat and Bob were married June 27, 1963. Bob preceded her in death after celebrating 37 years together. She was an avid reader, especially her Bible. Because of her health, she wasn't as active as she wanted to be. She loved all things about Betty Boop and Elvis Presley, and she loved her action movies.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert Dwyer, and granddaughter Sierra Schwartz.
She is survived by daughter Leanna Dwyer Brogdon (Justin), numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sisters Betty Connett (David) and Diana Smith, brother Terry Krause, and best friend Matthew Vandeveer.
A visitation for Pat will be held Saturday, December 14, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Messiah Lutheran Church in Independence, with a funeral service at 11:00 AM. A graveside service will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Kansas City.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Pat's name to the American Heart Association.
