Mary Katherine (Kuhn) Cash passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on May 21, 2020. She was the daughter of Kermit and Mary (Draper) Kuhn. She was born on September 24, 1934 in Kansas City.
She attended Holy Cross Grade School, Glennon High School and received her Bachelor’s in chemistry from St. Mary’s College. With many years of Catholic education, faith was an important part of her life.
Having married her best friend, the love of her life, Ronald Cash on June 9, 1955, they cherished 65 years. Ron and Mary were blessed with 6 children, 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Mary's degree offered her a job as a Medical Technician serving St. Mary's Hospital, and later in life at General Hospital.
She loved to be involved in her children's activities which included being a Scout Den Mother and Camp Fire Leader.
Sewing and needlework kept her busy after the crew moved on as well as working in the flower garden with Ron and family. She also enjoyed playing card games such as Bridge, and Pinochle.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Ann Mary.
Survivors include her husband, Ron; daughters, Donna Patti, Michelle (Adrian) Faimon, Christine (Richard) Wade; sons, Michael (Cheryl) Cash and Daniel (partner, Kim) Cash; grandchildren, Tony, Jennifer, Samantha, Michael Joseph, Adam, Tammy, Zach, Ellie, Natalie, Ann, and Christopher; great-grandchildren, Mason, Michael, Nick, Barrett, Brooks, Amira, and Ava; brother, Paul Michael Kuhn; sister-in-law, Carolyn Knipp, and many nieces and nephews.
All services will be held at St. Charles Catholic Church, 900 Shady Lane Dr., KC, MO on May 27, 2020. Visitation starts at 10:00AM, with rosary prayed at 10:45AM, followed by Mass of Christian Burial. Committal service will be at Resurrection North Cemetery, where Mary will be placed next to her special angel, daughter, Ann Mary.
With a strong emphasis on Catholic Education, Mary’s desire was for donations to be made to St. Charles Borromeo Academy.
