Margaret Armendariz, age 100 of Kansas City, MO, died on November 9, 2020 at her home. Visitation will be held Sunday, November 15 from 3 to 5 p.m. and Rosary at 4 p.m. at McGilley Memorial Chapel-Midtown, 20 West Linwood Blvd. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 16 at 9:30 a.m. at the Redemptorist Catholic Church, 3333 Broadway Blvd. followed by interment in Mount St. Mary’s Cemetery. Margaret was born on February 22, 1920 in Bennett, Texas. She spent most of her life in Kansas City. She was a devout Catholic who poured her love and joy for life into her family. She worked at the Armour Meat Packing Plant, Kansas City for many years while raising her children. She was a parishioner of Redemptorist Church for 61 years. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years David Armendariz; parents, Pablo and Antonina Hernandez; sisters, Augustina Ramirez, Lupe Rodriquez, Juanita Vasquez, Angela Hernandez, Mary Vera, Lydia Hernandez Morales; and brother, Frank Hernandez. She is survived by her daughters, Bia Armendariz, Becky (John) Larson, Teresa (Lee) Benson, Mary (Don) Strada; and sons, Johnnie Armendariz and George Armendariz; 14 grandchildren, 37 great-grandkids, and 3 great-great-grandkids; her sister, Lila Casperson; and brother, Manuel Hernandez.
