Marcellus Lawrence (Bud) Cole was born on August 14, 1926, in the beautiful town of Montrose, MO, the son of Robert L and Adeline (Licher) Cole, and passed away on January 19, 2023, in Kansas City, MO.
He was a two-year veteran of WWII, serving in the Pacific Theater. Following military service, he attended and graduated from Rockhurst University.
He and Beatrice (Bea) Schnoebelen were married on November 18, 1950. He was employed at the Claycomo Ford Motor Company plant for 36 years and retired as Manager of the Operations Accounting Department. He was an active participant in the St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and served as Lay Minister and Lector for 50 years. Over the years, he was also on the Parish Finance Committee, an Usher and Counting Team Member. Following retirement, he served as a Treasurer for the Save-A-Connie Aviation Museum for 20 years.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife Beatrice; brother, James; and sisters, Viola and Loraine. He is survived by his six children, Larry (Anne), Jerome (Dawn), Therese (John) Thomsen, Debra Chambers, Rosemary (Tim) Holderby and Brian (Michelle); as well as 13 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and brothers Harold, Eugene and John.
This is his legacy—he was a loving and devoted family man!
