Leon Sterling Reardon, born December 27, 1955 in Kansas City, MO – passed away, peacefully on January 15, 2020. Leon graduated from East High School in 1976. Leon married his high school sweetheart, Shirley, on September 23,1978.
He worked as a concrete construction worker for 40 years, served 32 years in Local Union 1290. He retired in 2014 then enjoyed spending more time with his family, grandkids and dogs (Rexy and Tiny). Leon loved working with his hands, making projects for the house and gardening. He was well known as a reliable, hard working and honest man. He would speak to anyone, making many friends everywhere he went. His greatest accomplishments in life were the love he shared with his wife and daughters. Spoiling his dogs and grandkids was a great joy for him.
Leon is survived by his wife, Shirley; children, Dyan Reardon, Karen (Josh) Hale; grandchildren, Mikayla, Acelyn, Ava-Lee, Jossaline and Emma; close family members, Allen (Dee) Masiero, Frankie Lee (Jim)Spahr, Beverly Williams, Sherri ( Brett) Brown and many other family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, James Sterling Reardon and Lois Veree Reardon; Parent in-laws, Harry (Mavis) Burris; Grandmother, Thora Knox.
Casual attire for our simple man - he loved his jeans and flannel shirts.
