LaNora was born February 11, 1939, in Spavinaw, Oklahoma to T.O. and Dixie Crain.
A memorial service for Lanora will be held Monday, December 16, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Country Club United Methodist Church, 400 West 57th Street, Kansas City, MO 64113.
LaNora joined Heaven with her husband, Henry “Steve” Asbell; her mother, Dixie Lee Crain; and her father, Thelbert Otis Crain.
She is survived by her brother, Johnnie Lee Crain and family; her sister-in-law, Bettie Ann Asbell; her son, Steven Asbell and wife Valerie; five granddaughters, Alejandra Viveros, Shaina Asbell-Littler, Anna Kuhnhoff, Katy Asbell, Melody Asbell; and six great-grandchildren, Ella and Cora Viveros Oliver, Ophelia Littler William, and Wade Kuhnhoff.
Growing up LaNora was very close with her family. On weekends she loved to go with her brother, Johnnie, to the racetrack. They loved each other and were very close. LaNora met the love of her life, Henry “Steve” Asbell, at the radio station where she worked as a secretary. LaNora was very passionate about her family. She loved to travel and loved her dogs!
