Kevin was born in 1958 to John and Jackie Milbourn. After living in Oklahoma for a few years, he moved to Indiana with his parents and brother, Brett, and sister, Kim. During his early life, Kevin’s grandfather taught him how to fish and love boating on the Michigan lake where the family had a summer cottage. In middle school, Kevin and his family moved to KS. Kevin attended Shawnee Mission South High School where he excelled in wrestling, swimming, theatre and playing trumpet in the school band. He was also a drum major for the Marching Raider Band. Kevin attended the University of Kansas where he continued playing trumpet in the KU Marching Band as well as his band, Horizon. After receiving his Bachelors Degree in Journalism and Masters Degree in Business Administration, Kevin worked for a petroleum equipment company. During this time, Kevin met the love of his life, Gina, during a Shawnee Mission Theatre in the Park production of “Pippin” in which he played Lewis and Gina was the choreographer. Kevin and Gina married and happily welcomed their four children, Andrew, Kelsey, Delaney and Mackenna. Kevin started his own manufacturers representative company. Kevin and Gina continued to perform sketches and music at Colonial Presbyterian Church for many years.
After Kevin was diagnosed with Pick's Disease, Kevin kept his sense of humor and love for comedy and music. Andrew moved back home to help Gina and Elara Hospice take care of Kevin throughout his brave battle with Pick’s Disease. Kevin is survived by his wife, Gina, his four children, Andrew and his wife, Jana, Kelsey and her life partner, Mitchell Stephens, Delaney and her life partner, Bradley Gosnell, and Mackenna as well as Kevin’ brother Brett Milbourn and his family. We are all thankful for God’s grace, mercies and help throughout Kevin’s incredible life!
