Julie Ann Kennedy, 47, of Billings, Montana, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2012 as a result of a massive stroke. She was born October 5, 1965 in Kansas City, MO and is the daughter of Arthur and Josephine Kennedy. Julie grew up in Kansas City and graduated with honors from Winnetonka High school in 1984 and received a B.S. in Chemistry from William Jewel College. She worked as a quality control chemist for over 10 years with American Ingredient’s and continued to further her education.
Julie was an extremely creative and intelligent young woman. She enjoyed painting, reading, cooking, music, outdoor activities and was an avid writer. She recently published her first book of poetry by “Sunshine”. It is in writing where she found her freedom of expression which was very important to her. Billings, Montana is where she last called home and has lived for the past 2 years.
A Visitation will be held Thursday, January 10 from 6pm to 8 pm at McGilley Antioch Chapel, 3325 N.E. Vivion Road, Kansas City MO. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, January 11 at 9am at St. Charles Catholic Church 900 N.E. Shady Lane Drive Gladstone MO. Burial will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery 5001 N.E. Cookingham Road, Kansas City MO.
Julie Ann is survived by her parents Arthur and Josephine Kennedy; her brother and sister-in-law Arthur & Tonyia Kennedy, brother and sister-in-law John & Luci Kennedy, and sister and brother-in-law Lurleen and Chris Sobolik. She leaves behind her beloved nieces and nephews: Bridget, Katherine, Patrick, Conor, Christian, Madeline and Mitchell.
Julie will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her as she touched so many lives.
