He went to grammar and high school in Kansas City, Missouri.
Joe enlisted in the US Army in February of 1952 for active service as a chaplain’s assistant and later an MP. In 1954 he transferred to the Reserve and returned to Kansas City.
Joe met Dorothy Bradbury and later married her on September 14, 1968 in Kansas City, Missouri. They shared and enjoyed life together for almost 51 years. Joe is predeceased by his wife, Dorothy (Bradbury) White, his father William White and his mother Daisy Smith.
Joe was an active member of the Heart of America Ring 129, International Brotherhood of Magicians for over 50 years. Joe passed peacefully to be reunited with his beloved Dorothy and his Lord and Savior on December 6, 2022.
A visitation for Joseph will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2022 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131. A funeral service will follow Wednesday, December 14, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Mount Moriah Cemetery South, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131. A committal service will occur Wednesday, December 14, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Park Lawn Cemetery, 8231 Hillcrest Rd., Kansas City, MO 64138.
