John Drysdale passed away on July 12, 2024. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on July 28, 1941. He is survived by his wife Judy; daughters Jeanne (Donald) McBride and Jackie (Ted) Revell. He was preceded in death by his father Clark and mother Jane.
John graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree and received his master’s from Central Michigan University. John spent his entire career focused in the restaurant industry, and retired from Johnson County Community College as a professor for the Hospitality Management Program. John was the author of several published hospitality management textbooks.
John loved to sit out on his patio surrounded by his beautiful garden. He enjoyed cooking meals for his family, especially during the holidays. Throughout his life there were numerous vacations and road trips with the family. John and Judy’s greatest vacation accomplishment was visiting all 50 states!
His passion for the Kansas City Chiefs was expressed every game day by coaching the team (very loudly) and yelling at the referees (even more loudly) while sitting in his recliner.
