Joel Similien, born on September 8th, 1968, in Lahaie, Haiti, tragically passed away at the age of 55 on July 11th, 2024. Joel's life was a testament to resilience, love, and dedication, marked by his unwavering commitment to his family and his relentless pursuit of a better life.
In 1992, Joel migrated to the United States, settling in Fort Pierce, FL, where he began to build a new life for himself and his family. It was there that he cultivated lasting friendships and spent a decade working diligently at W Cross. His ambition eventually led him to Kansas City, MO, in 2009, where he found a home at Triumph Foods. Joel's dedication to his work was evident in his outstanding service over the past ten years.
During his time in Kansas City, Joel met the love of his life, Sheyla. Their love story was a testament to their shared dreams and deep connection. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments. Tragically, Sheyla passed away alongside Joel on July 11th, 2024, a poignant reminder of their inseparable bond.
Beyond his professional achievements, Joel's greatest joy was his family. He was a loving father to his three children: JohnLuka Vialy Similien, Mona Similien, and Junior Alin Jean. Joel always pushed those around him to succeed, encouraging and inspiring his loved ones to reach their full potential. A devout, God-fearing man, Joel was actively involved in his church's men's group, finding solace and strength in his faith and community.
Joel made it his mission to bring his family together whenever possible, filling their lives with laughter, warmth, and boundless energy. His presence was a source of comfort and joy to all who knew him, ensuring that everyone around him felt welcome and loved.
Joel was an amazing son, father, spouse, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. His legacy of love, laughter, and dedication will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched.
