Jan lived a life filled with dedication and compassion, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her. Throughout her career, she served diligently at the Prairie Village Police Department and Shawnee Mission Medical Center, showcasing her unwavering commitment to helping others.
Outside of her professional life, Jan found joy in spending time with her beloved family, watching her favorite TV show "Friends," cheering on the KC Chiefs, and indulging in some QVC shopping.
Jan was preceded in death by her loving parents, Charles and Geraldine Shubaugh. She is survived by her children Michael McWilliams, Jamie Robbins, and Dennis McWilliams; Michael’s spouse Ana Villalpando McWilliams and Jamie’s spouse Ray Robbins; her grandchildren Krystal Hodges, Jaclyn Hendricks, Brock Robbins, and Patrick McWilliams; Krystal’s spouse Eric Hodges; her great-grandchildren Brayden Wilson, Layla Hodges, Wesley Hodges, Mia Hendricks, and Gannon Hendricks; and her sister Marguerite Caudle
A celebration of Jan's life will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at 5:00 pm at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and the legacy of love and kindness she left behind.
Jan will forever be remembered for her warm heart, unwavering strength, and the love she shared with all those fortunate enough to have known her. Her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those she touched.
