Janet Marie Recob

1958 – 2015

Janet M. Recob, 57, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2015, surrounded by loved ones. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 from 9:00a.m. to 10:00a.m. at Floral Hills Funeral Home, with services to follow. Janet was born on March 27, 1958, to Allan ‘Gene’ G. and Helen V. (Fortin) Forsythe in Kansas City, Missouri. She attended Southwest High School and began her career as a Human Resources Specialist with the federal government at 21. Janet retired from the U.S. Treasury Department in 2010 following 32 years of Federal service. Preceding Janet in death were her husband of 20 years, Darrell E. Recob Sr.; her infant daughter, Kathryn V. Recob; her father, Allan G. Forsythe; her brother, Michael A. Forsythe; and others. She is survived by her daughter, Sarah M. Recob; her son, Matthew A. Recob; her mother, Helen V. Forsythe; her step-sons, Darrell E. Recob Jr. and wife Sherry, and Benjamin W. Recob Sr.; her grandchildren, Benjamin W. Recob Jr. and Amber L. Recob; her twin sister, Joyce A. Forsythe; her brothers, Gregory J. Forsythe, Paul D. Forsythe, and James T. Forsythe and wife Karyn; and, many more family and friends.
