She was born March 3, 1970 in Kansas City. MO and was a lifelong resident.
She is survived by her husband Dale Higgins of 29 years. She leaves behind a son Vic Higgins and friends Kiera Behrendt and Dan Roberts all of Kansas City, MO. She is survived by her daughter Alex (Higgins) Mitchell and son-in-law Zac of Kansas City, MO. Her father, Frank Henke, Sr., preceded her in death in 1995. Janet is survived by her mother Carolyn (Coomer) Henke and brother Frank Henke, Jr., both of Punta Gorda, FL. She leaves behind a sister Debbie Henke of Albuquerque, NM and sister Suzy (Henke) Brickel and brother-in-law Bill of Punta Gorda. She also leaves behind her brother Steve Henke and his fiancée Jennifer Tice of Raymore, MO. She is survived by her father-in-law Joe Higgins of Grandview, MO, Janet's sisters-in-law Kathy Smith of Lee's Summit, MO and Sharon Carter of Houston, TX survive her as well. She leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Janet graduated in 1988 from Notre Dame de Sion High School. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Management from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1992. She worked for Corporate America Federal Credit Union as a Loan Officer. She also owned a private automobile sales company. She later worked as a Healthcare Administrator. Janet loved her many pets throughout the years. She will be missed greatly by all those who knew and loved her.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Sabina Catholic Church 700 Trevis Avenue, Belton, MO at 10 am on Friday, August 26, 2022. A Visitation will be held Friday, August 26, 2022 at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO from 5-7 pm.
