Born James Matthew Sage May 6, 1990 in Kansas City, Missouri, died at home April 25, 2023. Tender hearted, generous, loving and kind. Always researching, seeking innovative ideas and fun stuff. He was one of the first in the area to get a virtual reality headset called the Oculus Rift. When 3D printers were beginning to appear and with a great price tag attached he ordered a kit to make his own to save money. He assembled it, set up the programming and it worked great. In his house he had it set up to turn on lights, change their colors with Alexa and do so much more. He had so many ideas and things he accomplished with technology.
He attended Lathrop High School and was selected for the gifted program called The Academy at Northwest Missouri State in Maryville, Missouri serving the junior high school year there. As a senior graduated Winnetonka High School in Kansas City, Missouri in 2008 and went on to attend Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri, changing majors to computer science. Truman State was the perfect place as he excelled as a computer programmer, before graduating college he was offered a good paying job in Lake St. Louis, Missouri which he took once he graduated. In 2015 he married Sarah (Crotteau) from Metamora, Illinois. The couple moved to Illinois but later returned to Kansas City, Missouri where he was hired by Cerner, he was one of only 100 employees from over 20,000 applicants. He and Sarah divorced but James continued to work at Cerner until it was bought out by Oracle who let him go. He was excited to receive the job for Sirius Satellite radio where he was currently working with new AI (Artificial Intelligence) things.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Lloyd and Jean Sage of Kansas City, Missouri and Bruce and Sherrie Robb of Lathrop, Missouri. He leaves behind his parents Loren and Lorie Sage of Kansas City, Missouri.
