James graduated from high school in Gladbrook, Iowa in 1962 and got his Bachelor’s Degree from University of North Iowa in Cedar Falls in 1967. After teaching economics, business, and book-keeping at Iowa City, he went back to get his Master’s Degree at Truman State University in Kirksville in 1972. After that accomplishment, he moved to Kansas City in January of 1972 and worked as a Vocational Rehabilitation counselor at Pioneer Community College. He resigned from there and became an entrepreneur and real-estate investor until he retired.
James married Mary Diane in 1970, they later divorced. James married Peggy in 2003, they later divorced also. He is survived by his third wife, Rosemary, they married in 2012.
James was a Libertarian and a member of Landlords Inc. With his playful and curious spirit, he loved to travel and explore, searching for artifacts, fishing and the outdoors.
James lived to love and loved to live. His life was truly an adventure and he shared it with all.
