James (Jim) Lindsley McConnell passed away peacefully on Wednesday, 21 September 2022, at the age of 92. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania December 14, 1929, to Alfred McConnell and Ida Mae Thomas. He is the last survivor of 4 siblings.
Jim was in the Air Force and served in Vietnam. He retired from the Army National Guard as a Master Sergeant. He worked many years as an aircraft mechanic and air traffic controller before retiring from Concordia Publishing House in St. Louis, Missouri.
He was a faithful member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
He is now resting in the arms of his wife, Mary, who passed away in 2020.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, 15 October 2022, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Lee’s Summit, Missouri followed by a luncheon.
Inurnment of his and Mary’s ashes will be at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Raytown, Missouri at 1:00 pm the same day.
