Helen G. Bledsoe, 80, Kansas City, passed away peacefully at home on October 6, 2014. Helen was born April 21, 1934 to Theodore and Helen Nickerson in Saco, Montana.
Services will be held Friday, October 10, at 2:00 PM Hillside Christian Church, 900 NE Vivion Road. Visitation will take place October 9 at McGilley Antioch Chapel, 3325 NE Vivion Road from 6:00-8:00 PM. Burial will be at Park Lawn Cemetery, Kansas City.
Helen moved to Kansas City in 1956. She is a long-time member of Hillside Christian Church, sang in the choir and served as Childcare Director for many years.
Preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Loyd Bledsoe, Helen is survived by daughters Aileen (Joe) Markowsky of New York, Gina Kephart (Shannon Simmermon) of Independence and Robin (Leo) Desmond of Lawson; and son Jeff (Tressie) Bledsoe of Topeka; sisters Corrilla (Mel) Turpin of Sonoma, CA and Rose (Rudy) Ensminger of Pittsburg, KS; 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
