Glenna J. Lundberg, 51, of Independence, MO, passed away on August 20, 2022 at Centerpoint Hospital due to anaphylactic shock and complications following a severe reaction to a bee sting.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Glenna’s birthday, August 27, 2022 at 3:30pm at Newcomer’s Floral Hills Funeral Home 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City MO 64133.
Glenna was a lifelong resident of Independence, Missouri. Glenna survived Hodgkin's Lymphoma and bravely battled degenerative disc disease. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Central Missouri with a Bachelor of Science in Social Work and minor degrees of Addiction Studies and Political Science. Glenna loved to travel and had an affinity for the ocean. She was also a lover of all animals and music. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and advocating for special needs inclusion, women and victims rights and chronic pain sufferers.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Brian Lundberg; father, Gary Lundberg; and mother, Beverly McBride. She is survived by her step-mother, Sharon Lundberg; daughters, Emmaleigh Lundberg and Hannah Lundberg (Roy Tripp); and granddaughters, Lydia (Lydie bug) and Lorelei (June bug).
