Glen William Bryant, 94 of Claycomo Missouri passed away Thursday December 20, 2012 at Northcare Hospice House. A visitation will be held Saturday December 22, 2012 from 12:00-1:00PM at McMurry United Methodist Church . Services will be held 1:00PM Saturday December 22, 2012 at McMurry United Methodist Church 57 Eugene Field Road, Claycomo, Missouri. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Northcare Hospice House.
Glen was born September 16, 1918 in Cooper, Texas, the son of George Washington (GW) and Minnie Lee (Young) Bryant. He was a veteran of WWII. After the war, he obtained work at General Motors and worked for them and retired after 30 years of service. He was a long time member of McMurry United Methodist Church serving on various committees and the board. During his retirement, he worked part-time for McGilley Funeral Home. He married his sweetheart, Norma Lee June Gress on February 28, 1948 at the Welborn Church in Kansas City, Kansas.
Glen is survived by his wife of 64 years Norma Lee June Bryant of Claycomo. Glen is also survived by his children: Carolyn J. Dawson of Olathe, Kansas; Bobby Glen Bryant and his wife JoAnn of Gladstone, MO; Linda Kay Garcia and husband Carlos of Gladstone, MO. He is also survived by four grandchildren: Aaron Dawson, Lindsay Dawson, Kyle Bryant and Chad Bryant. Glen is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren: Jacob, Aaron Jr, and Jamie Dawson, Cole, Lilly and Elly Bryant.
He loved his family, his community, and his church and would give willingly of himself whenever he could.
